I recently broke my factory rear locker so i am chucking an lsd in to get it on the road again but i am having troubles getting the right rear axle back in. It wont go all the way in, it needs to go in about another 10mm.
I know there are differences in length between the locker axle and the lsd axle but i thought the locker axle was slightly shorter so thought it would go in. Can anyone confim this or give me the length of a non locker axle to i can compare?
Im happy to cut the end off the axle if need be but want to make sure thats the reason it wont go in first.

Re: Diff lock to lsd problems
can't help with advice for the axle, but I broke my rear factory locker late last year, pulled it all apart and had it fixed by a professional gear maker, all up cost $200. She works as good as an airlocker now, ie instant on/off.
Re: Diff lock to lsd problems
I was looking at getting it rebuilt but have spoken to a couple of guys and they dont seem to last that long, mine has snapped the dog teeth clean off. Ive broken this one only after about 6 months use. Im going to look at other options for a locker so just want the lsd at the moment to get me going again.
