80 series driveshaft wanted

Post by skid »

I am now in need of an 80 series front driveshaft and possibly the back one too.

the only catch is, that it has to be for a manual VX.

mine was about ready to part company from the vehicle

get a hilux surf single piece rear shaft and get it shortened man, way cheaper and easy to get  then all you have to do is spigot it onto your pinion flanage(same size right thru the toyota line) and redrill your flange to suit bolt hole spacing if they dont allready line up. may cost you 50 buks ?

easy peasy

yeah, thats been told to me by lots of peoples so far.

may have to see brian at howat engineering and get him to start fabricating.

although its cheaper on gas and less jerky with a missing front driveshaft.

that would mean you have to do some sort of fabrication Wop, which would be why that was my choice of words

the UJ is about to let go. nice clunking noises all the time and when we pulled it off, it was only a matter of time before it would have flown apart. caught it just in time really.
