I have a brandnew Dakota Digital Universal Signal Interface (SGI-5 C) for recalibrating speedometers after tyre and diff gear changes. I just wanted to give people of ORE first chance to buy before putting on Trademe.

Here is the blurb from the manufacturer http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=126/category_id=287/home_id=59/mode=prod/prd126.htm :
The SGI-5 Universal Signal Interface Unit can handle all of your electric speedometer signal conversion and calibration problems. The SGI-5 can recalibrate 8K pulse per mile (ppm) through 250K ppm electronic speedometer pulse rates. The SGI-5 is great for readjusting aftermarket and OEM electric speedometers on vehicles after changing rear end gears.
The SGI-5 can also handle all of your speedometer pulse rate incompatibility problems. Does your VDO Hall Effect Speedometer generator produces a 16K ppm and your cruise control requires a 2K, 4K or 8K ppm? No Problem!
Does your older GM 700R4 transmission produce 4K ppm and your new cruise control require a 8K ppm? No Problem!

It can be used for Jeeps, Toyotas , Dodge and GM applications. It basically allows you to adjust the electronic signal from the speedometer sensor to accurately calibrate the speedometer and use different-sized tyres or gear ratios down the road with no additional investment.
This one is surplus to my needs. It sells for US$ 80 in the US. Convert that into NZ$ and add freight, comes to about NZ$ 140. I am selling it at cost.
