looking for a 4x4 toy

hi

went out for a play with some mates and got bitten by the bug (as everyone does) and now im looking for a swb safari/patrol the only problem is im looking for the model that came out with the removable canopy. can anyone tell me what year and model came out with the canopy.

I've only seen older model MK's, MQ's and AD's with removable roofs.

the removeable canopy was up to 1988, leaf sprung models where as the gq is coil sprung, there is a couple of cheap roughies on TM that would suit some serious fab mods, good luck but look out for some serious structural rust that some suffer from. :wink:

Someone on here was saying they were having a hard time getting cheap (secondhand) bits for their MK or MQ so I'd look into that to. Theres a MK with the top chopped off on trademe at the moment. Shes a bit rough though!
