thommos - again

Post by xj »

Looking to pop RJ's cherry next weekend (1st or 2nd march) and take him up Thommos for his virgin run in the Pajero. Anyone else intending on heading up there?

Yep, it was nice and slippery. AT's on the Pajero were ok till we got to that uphill stretch. No traction but good fun. Called it a day after waiting around there for a half hour or so. Rest of the crew got through and carried on. We were happy with our maiden voyage though. Other than that one area we slipped and scrambled and our way through the rest of it with little or no drama. I've started writing a list of things to do. I am thinking tyres and a body lift first. We'll see. Good crew up there and I think everyone was having fun in the rain :D

Pic gallery:

Daniel and his Safari... met him on track, good bugger. hopefully he'll log in and make the most of the information and knowledge that the site has to offer. his winch and snatch strap got greg up in the surf... Cheers Dan.
Image

Lowdwn..... with the wet lads huddling in the back..... they'll be unc-unc-uncing terapa strait tonight im picking, shaking their heads at the nutters in the mud....
Image

Greg in the stocker Surf... once up the mud/quagmire hill climb, he was away. Spent most of the remainder of the day enviously eyeing Tintins machine. Hes decided that the tyres and lift are en-route!!
Image

The ones that made it up the slippery slide.... Me, tintin (obscured), Daniel and Lowdwn. Waiting to see if RJ was going to make it on the back of Dixie, who made a cameo appearance and then headed away for other engagements.

Cool day, and met some groovy new fellas.
