1978 FJ40 series SOLD

Post by petefj40 »

It is now for sale on Trade Me.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =142687601

I can't believe the interest I've had in just one night. I have 2 other items listed for over 4 days. Those items have had 230 views each and both have a couple of watchers.
In one night the Landcruiser has 255 views and 10 watchers!

Happy bidding!

By the way. As I've had so much interest, I've include ORE's URL hoping we might gain some more members here. 8)

The FJ40 auction finishes at 9pm tonight.
As I've had so much interest in it I have upped the reserve to $6500.
If it doesn't sell. I'll be offering it to ORE users at $1500 less first. Failing that it will go back on TradeMe.
Currently the auction has had 1386 views and 32 watchers. But I'd say most of the watchers would only be tire kickers.

At the end of the day, if I get my money back what it owes me I'll be happy. If kept in good condition this truck will only increase in value.

Pete.

Hey I'm happy selling it to someone from here to be honest.

You and 10 other watches so far Fitzy.
You can kick the tyres for real if you like.
It's parked on the corner of Wainoni Road and Orrick Cresent during the day time. :D

With the latest listing I put a wee plug in there for our site. :D
Hell, I had over 1500 views in just over a week when I listed it last time but it didn't sell. Maybe we got a couple of new members out of it. At least that would be something. :|

I might have had 1500 hits in a week the last time I listed it. But where i parked it, it gets thousands of views a day! Seems one fella is real keen to buy it. I'll find out tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Sold the Cruiser today.
A passer by off the side of the road brought it. Sold it for $5000. So I'm happy I got my money back. I lost nothing. :D
Now I need my other cruiser finished.

You Nissan owners might like to stop reading from here.

The new owner upgraded from his Nissan Patrol long wheel base to the FJ40. He told me he was sick of getting stuck all the time.
He loves his new truck.

I know Nissan's are cool and aren't that hard to get stuck. But when this guy told me his story, I thought, yes, another patrol owner converted. 8)
