Hi, I can't help with Auk; places but any VDO agent will have or be able to get them. I got mine from TWL in CHCH ; so you could try the Auk; branch of TWL, get the 20/90 deg C gauge that = 200/900degC and get the correct length, ( you will have to do a rough measurement from where the sender is going to be fitted to where you will mount the gauge ) fitting kit.
If you fit temperature probe pre Turbo your max; temp is 700 degC for short duration, if fitted after turbo 600degC.
You will be absolutely amazed at the way the temp; will climb and you will soon learn to adapt you driving style to how to keep the temp; with in the range.

YOUR ON THE RIGHT TRACK---KEEP COOL,

FITZY.

depending on the price you want to pay and the size of the guage.

i had problems trying to get a 2" guage. most places didn't stock them or only had bigger sizes. shops didn't want to know and after being run around by the importers i was forced to get one off trademe. plenty of ones suitable for diesels.

Whats the deal with the sender on these guages? Are you supplied with a boss that you weld onto your exhaust yourself?

I fully intend to get an EGT because most gurus suggest if you're going to play around with boost and fuel then the EGT is the way to tune on a diesel.

you need to either weld a nut on the exhaust or tap a thread in the manifold.

get a screw in one not a clamp on one.

Catchafox, the gauge and fitting kit was $300 something and that was trade price.

I was quoted $160 for an Autometer 4344 by Autopassion...still looking tho as I'd prefer a metric one.

Trade me has them, just brought one for my lux, auto gauge $130 with all the fittings, works perfectly.Tap it into the manifold before the turbo for the best reading. If the needle gets to 600c lift off!

Ive found what im after from capital instruments 1/321 neilson st Onehunga 09634-7722 below should be a link to their web page. Since i wanted a white gauge it was a mission to find one but im happy with their range of products and they were very friendly. Twl had a vdo kit for $350 (trade) but this gauge and sender was only $300Trade ($200 gauge) ($100 sender)they only sell to the trade, but did take cash so they might sell to the public. So roll on easter weekend when im fitting it. Thanks for the help and advice out there.
