Auckland Beach Run
Auckland Beach Run
Hey all
I'm planing to take my new Zuk out to Muriwai for a test run / play
Enter up at Willson road or Rimmers
Go onto the beach 3-4 hours before low tide
Was thinking about one of the following dates
16th /or 17th Feb
23rd / or 24th Feb
1st / or 2nd March
Anyone interested ,always more fun with others

Re: Auckland Beach Run
I would be interested in 24/Feb or 2/Mar. But two suggestions:
- Make this into a poll so you can track what people reply with
- How are the tides around those dates?

Big-Al and gimmemud may be keen

Where abouts in Auckland are you from?
Depending on where everyone is coming from/how many (were up near Orewa) we can possibly take you on a test run to give the zuk a wee mud run too

Re: Auckland Beach Run
I'm in West Auckland.
But I certainly wouldn't mind detouring for some mud

Re: Auckland Beach Run
Nothing too major but a bit of fun...
Quite a bit of the yellow zuk and red surf is filmed there
With a little bit being at the extreme park too i think...
Rest at the ore bbq and pureroa forest and maybe 42nd traverse in there too i think...

There is also a mud/winch run Big-Al is planning a trip to shortly but would need a well setup truck with winch etc

So we will be going for a drive tomorrow afternoon. just up the beach, probably getting to rimmers about 1:30, depending on what time my touch rugby practice. 3:15 at the latest (which wont leave much time, i know) give me a text if you want 027 2573757

Mate just txt me to say that he wants to be on the beach at 5am

Re: Auckland Beach Run
Was a great day out.
Good to meet some new faces.
Turned out to be a meeting of the Zuks
New truck went really well ,once I figured out which gear I needed to be in
Managed to get a foot of air under both wheels at one point.

Re: Auckland Beach Run
What was the weather like up there? It wasn't too great down here in South Auckland..
My truck developed a loose steering shaft the previous weekend I was up the beach and still hadn't found the problem when this day came around, also it decided to start playing around with electrical problems too
So I fitted my 2" body lift instead
My mate has apparently set out a trip on easter weekend so will hopefully be back out there soon
