from which end?
We have been up from the camp ground about 3-5 kms. But not for at least 4 years. Some decent sized water holes and rocks under the water line.
Used to be a nasty hole about 10 ft or more deep that went bank to bank and had a very soft pea gravel base that stopped us. may be different now though.
Go and have a look

Good traction for the most part, you wouldn't want any more than 5 trucks (imho :) ).
At least one traction aid is almost mandatory, And if you are not coiled, or sprung over, I reckon 35" tyre size is minimum (unless on small axles, zook etc).
As an aside to the guys who are going, if you get all cry baby about scratches, dings, broken bits or washing the berber, stay at home. It is a trip where there is defenitly a much higher chance of damage than mud bunnying around the mak.
Take the advice any way you want, and above all, have a really good trip guys :P

Like Rok said, it will be nasty in places so if you dint, bend, or tip on your side, just accept that it's all part of the fun :P
