wanted: 32 inch tyre

i need a 32 inch tyre as a spare to go with the 4x TSL's that i've got. not having much luck with the tyre shops, two or three so far have told me no-one makes a tyre in 32 x 9 x 16. Which is when i show them the ones on my truck...

I don't have a rim for it yet, so it's only the outside diameter i'm worried about at this stage. Not too fussed about tread depth or condition.

Simex ET do a 32 x 9.5 x 16. Simex sizes are usually bigger than whats written on the sidewall though. Possibly find a worn 33" tyre will have same rolling diameter as what you have on truck??

Or you can look for something something 265/75R16 which translates to roughly 32/10.5 R16 OR 235/85R16 which would be 32/9.25 R16. There must be something on Trademe matching that description.

From memory 7.50x16 SAT's are a touch over 32". Should be able to find plenty of used ones lying around in farmers sheds.

Now i've got some metric sizes to work off, it should be easier to find something now - trademe searches only ever came up with full sets of 32's, and I dont have $1000...

7.50 x 16 should work out to 31" exactly. If you get desperate finding one you don't actually need 16" tyre/rim if only a spare... as long as outside diameter is the same...

There is some strange things with tyre sizing, as said before most tyres are smaller than they say, with the exception of like simex.
But even within simex 32x9.5x16's measure bigger than 32x9.5x15's and 32x10.5x16 measure different to 32x10.5x15 which measure differently to the 9.5's so within simex they all say their 32's but their all different diameters... (admitting not all that different but still)

Think it was a 32x9.5x15 but there's been a single super swamper tyre (from memory) on trademe for past few months for a reasonable price... can't spot it now but may get relisted at some stage...
