personally i prefer 24v

more power ruff ruff ruff especially on winches 24v winch is alot less likely to burn out than a 12v one because the motor is not woking so hard alot less resistance for the same amount of pulling power and the difference in price between 24v and 12v winches is so small if my wagon had 24v to start with i would leave it there

loved my old ex army series 3 that had 30vwith a huge 90 amp generator it was ffr pity i never really used it off road
