Surf KZN130 front diff wanted

Toyota Surf 3.0l auto KZN130 front diff needed to get me going again Mine died going over piano flat in southland/otago.

PM dieselboy as his mate just got one from hamilton somewhere. cost about $250 which is half of what you would pay in chch if you can find one.

Give these guys a ring, thats were the diff came from:

Bryant Road 4x4 & Van Dismantlers
23 Norris Ave Hamilton
0-7-849 2688

Apparently they have alot of these particular diff's, and can't get rid of them.
Give me a yell if you need any further help organising it!!

what did they quote you for shipping? I think Im going to have to get one as the diff locks wont be here till after xmas now.

Can you pm me what they quoted you and the shipping. I Ithink I will have to get one as well.

Hmm Just gave them a call and got quoted the same price as in chch. Seems youd only get a bus fare as change out of $500 :shock:

Definitly wont be going down that path

Planned on ringing about the diff this afternoon but put it of once i found out the cost of getting the engine running again. One of the big end bearing went on it as well. Possilbly the head aswell but hopefully not. Not having a very good run out of the surf lately. Dont think the japanese owner serviced it very often, if at all.

Still haven't figued out why the transmission dumped all it oil out but it seems to be sweet after draining the old and refulling with new.

Diff will have to wait till the new year so won't be much off roading done.

Picked a diff up of trade me $180. Onlt travelled 50000km so very happy, the guy had fitted a solid front diff himself, tidiest job I've seen yet
