want to know how much my surf is worth?

i have a 1991 hilux surf, 4.8 diffs ,2.4efi turbo engine 240000ks, alloy bullbar, 2000kg winch, face lift model tyre on back (can go underneth) wing, cabin outliners fog lights 3' steel snorkel, 13000k old new shocks allround, water pump done at same time, many sell Vhf$350 and cb/scaner$500 with it,PA with VHF, sony explode head deck 6x9 rear 6x6 front, has orange flashing lights in the grill,red in back with and front not sure on legal for them(coastgaurd) LSD new front window.

Being a high km 2.4 if its had the head done and you have the receipts its prob worth 5 if not I am afraid to say it prob only worth 3500..

A theory i have been told, any extras don't really increase the value of the car dramatically it only increases the chances of it selling.....

this is all within reason, doesnt really work as much with modified trucks

thereis an old safari(leafs) on trademe, dont know if it is still on there, he has a list a mile long of extras like lockers.. and he wants 21k, my opinion is start higher than you think you will get for it, it may be worth only 3 or 4 k bit if you put it on at 6 or 7 and it doesnt sell you can always drop it, if i was buying that safari i mentioned i would only pay 5k tops as it is old technology and all the gadgets dont do anything for the sales value

I sold mine for $3500 preaty much standard it had 156km on it, (how guneine I dont know) 1989 LN130 2.4.
I tend to agree with the theory put foward. Good luck with the sale, if your going to sell it.

I've seen that on there and I think he is dreaming a bit. Said theres 16k worth of upgrades but wants 21k. So thats 7k for an MQ with about 350,000k's on the clock when it boils down to it. I'm not even sure if my Safari is worth that much anymore!

The only thing with listing it higher to start with is you may not get many bites as people can just skim over, think its over priced and move on to the next listing. My flatmate doesn't even look at listings that don't have the yellow flag.
