bodylift ?

Post by BEAUTGQ »

Finally got my 40mm bodylift blocks made from acetal i think. Got 12mm holes in them as ive read on here that its easy and better to go from 10mm to 12mm bolts. its on a swb safari. Just wondering if any one knows minimum reguired high tensile rating required for cert in both 10 and 12mm bolts. Think i need 150mm bolts this correct? do i need crush tubes? also anyone know of a certifier in auckland that has delt with 4wd lifts.

Cheers Jared

Finally got hold of someone in auckland that had certed bodylifts before. Guy called lance walsh from lvvc wesite under certifiers. he said go grade 8 so thats what ive done. got 150 long m12 bolts today so might give it a crack in the weekend. just put in front radius arm spacers in tonight all went well just had to drop them right out and one end of tie rod. will try get some pics on. after that here comes 35's.

How much did the bolts set you back? What did he say about the crush tubes?
