Pajero Running Boards

Post by northland_pajero »

Took my Pajero out on the weekend, bend the running boards a little (again) so today while changing the wheels (white spokies with m/ts back to my alloys with a/ts) I took the running boards off.

It looks like its had a 2 inch body lift already!!!!

I bought her as a shinny (2.8 turbo Auto Transmission), she is slowly becoming a club truck (winch bull bar, replaced the rear bumper, CB, PRS, muds etc). She has a few bush marls but to date no dents

Question:

Do I need to get rock crawlers made or does the chassis provide enough protection for the stills under the doors?

id say at a minimum get a tube made that has a braket to chassis to prevent dents, they dont look like they will handle anything, i was looking at removing my bent runners today also...

if you dont want to dent them, get some form of rails, and quick. even tho your old ones were bent a bit they were still absorbing some of the impact and saving your sills. id look into proper sliders, well, i will be in the not to distant future as my sills are puckered.
