Tar removal - mudflaps and carpet

Post by lilpigzuk »

Arvo all

The missus car (95 Fairmont) has been on some very melted roads over New Years (turoa mountain road) where the road lifted so badly that the tyres grew to about about 31" :D
Managed to get some on the carpet inside also.
What would be the best solvent to use without damaging?? Wouldnt worry me too much but we are looking at selling it.....

cheers

meths and paper towels,

don't rub it but dissolve the tar with the meths and swab it with paper towels/rags etc.

petrol would work as well but it smells a bit worse.
