Yeah, 10:30-11am was just a start to get there time... I figure the BBQs wouldn't be fired up till around 11:30-12... Theres no real planning going on here... so we'll just wing it.
If the weather is crap it might be an idea for a couple of big tarps (warehouse specials) to be strung up at the shed as a bit of shelter... I'm sure we'll come up with some cunning plan
Also, the MU won't be done... been too busy this week to really get anything done on it. Rik is moving house for someone this weekend, and I've been doing work on his truck this week so assuming its done and asuming my tyres fit it then I should have a set of wheels to borrow.
See you all Sat morn

Well, the weather looks not too bad, although I haven't seen the forecast for tomorrow... no-one say the BBQ word and hopefully the gods of fate will leave us alone for the morning.
The shed it is at this point, doesn't seem like an excessive number of people coming down... think we have about 3 confirmed BBQs and I'll try to remember a tarp for 'just in case' coverage.
See you all there in the morning - remember if you don't know where to go then ring Matt - I think hes arranging a 'lost boys' convoy from the Palms about 10:30.

Many thanks to all those who could make it - a great day was had, many lies were told, a few beers were sunk, not as many as there were sausages. It was great to put some faces to some names... and a good afternoon down the Waimak too... got Riks truck a bit muddy, and now he doesn't want to give me back my Simexes
Although I still have his truck, so thats not a major problem right now
Its also re-kindled my passion for 4WDing and getting out with mates who also enjoy it - and for that I can't thank everyone enough for making it the great day it was. I WILL have the MU done very soon - today will give me the motivation (read: kick in the ass
) I needed.
And to everyone who pitched in for Mike, the present was duly presented, and I think he was suitably pissed off at us all for providing him with more work to do on the truck
Thanks Again.

Thanks has to goto Steve for organising the BBQ this year and good one it was. Was a great chance to catch up with some of the members I havnt seen for a while (Tom, Bill, Steve, Adam, Al, Mike) and see some highly modified trucks in action down the waimak. Dont forget to get some good pics and footage for your trip up the back of colridge tom and mike. would really like to see where you take those beasts
I really appreciate the gift of the snorkel from those members who contributed towards it, it was a bit of surprise and I didnt really know what to say apart from umm umm yeah dam, more work to do now before the 27th
What I really meant to say is Wow thanks a million and you guys should definitly not have done this. I would have got one eventually sometime (probably after drowning the poor surf). Anyway those that contributed I will send a copy of the first ORE dvd(when finished) to you as thanks
Cheers
Mike

I'm sure this gets explained a lot and should have a special place in the FAQ'a, but upload the photos into your gallery then look at them, right click on them, choose properties and highlight the complete address (URL) that appears (wil start with "http://" and might be spread over 2-3 lines) - copy that and paste it into the message. Then put before the http bit and after it
IF that makes no sense then put them in your gallery and tell me where they are - I'll post them for you.
Cheers
