I have a 92 GQ auto that I could not get out of park and the ATP light was on. By pressing the little pin at the base of the gear selector I was able to get it out of park and the ATP light went off but every time I now select park I have to depress the pin to get it out of park but the ATP light has never come on again since that first time.

GQ auto ATP problem
Hi Guys.
I have a 92 GQ auto that I could not get out of park and the ATP light was on. By pressing the little pin at the base of the gear selector I was able to get it out of park and the ATP light went off but every time I now select park I have to depress the pin to get it out of park but the ATP light has never come on again since that first time.
Cheers

Re: GQ auto ATP problem
First thing to check, see if the brake lights are working, it they aren't that will be the problem, check for a blown fuse or faulty brake light switch.
Re: GQ auto ATP problem
Thanks Dak, thats exactly what it was. I had breifly hooked up someone elses trailer which must have had a different wireing configuration and blown the fuse.
