And I found them very good to deal with. I had about a two week wait as they were out of stock, but they advised by email and didn't do the VISA transaction until the day they shipped (which they also advised by email), and it arrived about 4 days later. Mine didn't get held up at customs, but that's always a possibility...

Some stuff seems to get through without a customs fee, if under $400 US but also had a few stopped,if not in
a hurry, you could sea freight, through an agent

Its not US$400, the guideline is that GST is not normally charged if calculated GST is NZ$50 or less on imported goods (which works out to their value being NZ$400).

to put a lockright in my rear diff do i have to find an open 4.88 diff head or can i rip the lsd to bits n fit the locker
and was just reading on rocky road the prices, any ideas as to why the locker for the 7.5" 2 pinion diff would b cheaper than the 8" 4 pinion diff?

Smaller = less metal = less cost to make.

I'm just guessing here but makes sense.

You need an open diff to put the lockrite in. It won't fit a LSD.

opps, i cocked up there i meant the 7.5" locker is dearer than the 8"!!
but yea probably right with sales.

well it says i have the 4 pin LSD
when i get an open diff how do i knowhow many pin i need? will it stil be four or do they change?
sorry ive neva p[layed with diffs etc before.

Hi,
I am pretty sure the 7.5' is a 2 pinion which means that it will need the same number of parts as the 8" 2 pinion, they have 4 parts, the 2 center locking bits and the 2 bits that replace the side gears, whereas the 4 pinion only has the 2 center locking bits as the side gears are reused. Hence the 4 pinion is cheaper as less parts.

If you have a LSD you are probably better to sell it to a boy racer and buy a 4 pinion diff and fit a locker.

Thanks
