Landrover Series 3 v8, can i put new axels under??

got a series 3 v8 landrover and was wondering can i buy a donor truck like a nissan safari / patrol mq and do a straight swap of the front and rear axels into the landrover?? I understand the brakes will need a bit of work and the truck will be a slightly bit wider wheel base?? any other problems that will have to be overcome??

positives that i can see is that, the landrover will have stronger diffs, axels and cv's, will end up with better brakes, and the universal japanese truck stud pattern??

know any one that has done similar??

wont be a straight swap, all teh suspension mounts will need sorting out.

I went for lux diffs and coils, but was considering going to gq
