don't panic it may not be as serious as you think
yorick had issues with his one and found some o rings behind some plates were stuffed so he replaced them
apparently 3 of them are easy enough to deal with but there is one that requires removal of the injector pump to replace

apparently something to do with the aromatics they put in the diesel now eats some o rings
my 4wd is not a truck

old mercedes never die but sometimes they do need some love

older cars are good, mercedes are better, older mercedes are the best

Yep just as Merc said, I hummed and hahed about it but when I finally decided to do something about it it was actually pretty easy

Any surface in the Injector pump that is sealed by an O-Ring will spring a leak. While you're at check the fuel line as well.

A very common fault I found out with anything pre 95 or there abouts. The injector pump on the 4D56T is not too bad to extract, I managed to get mine off without having to to take the bottom of the cambelt cover... You're going to have to take it off anyways, may as well just do the O-rings... all up cost probably less that $10. I'm not sure, I had one in stock as luck would have it.
