terrano 5-speed re-build??????

Post by d21 »

has anyone ever had a terrano g/box rebuilt????
how much would this cost, depending on the damage i guess!
it still drives fine just sounds like a few rough bearings, in 2nd and 3rd!

Get it done asap. Not sure if the V6 ones are the same as the diesel ones but get it done before it totally $%^Y's its self.

If its just bearings you might get away with about $1000 if not $1500+ (if you pull it and put it back yourself. the manuals in the terrano's are weak.

I had mine done twice. First time badly. When it was done second time round the guy that did it found nissan factory bearings in it still

I had mine done after I stripped first gear. Literally. I pulled it and put it back in and that cost just under $1500 about 7 years ago.

Rember the filler plug has been cast to low in the gearbox so when re filling top it up through the gear lever hole.
