Thompsons track loop - Te Aroha side, still there?

Does anyone know if the loop track off the side of the main track on the Te Aroha side of Thompsons still exists, or did it get destroyed when the area was logged? I've heard conflicting reports - one that its still mint, and one that its gone.

Hi Ben, No longer loop tracks . 1st entry to what was the loop only goes about 1km before you get to a tree droped length ways on the track (bloody hard to move). The top (of the loop) only goes 100m or so, but a good climb up the ruts to get out. The rest of the TeAroha side has just had a bulldozer and digger doing maintanance (made a highway). A good thing in places, But after some rain I'm sure it will get interesting again.
