New Toy..Finally :)

Post by 3VILC »

Finally picked up the new toy on Saturday :) Its a 92 GQ shorty manual. Pretty impressed with it so far although I havnt had the chance to get it dirty yet, but that will come
Got some 33x12.5 MudStars put on this morning (wanted Sumitomos or Wranglers but both out of stock from dunlop in that size :( ) so I'll give those a try n see how they do. EFS 2.5" lift is on the way. Just needs a nice offroadexpress.co.nz sticker for the front now

Anyway here it is as it was when i picked it up

Safaris are too heavy for MTR's. They go better on lighter trucks. BFG, and kumho's work well on them. Go a 3" lift with gearbox spacers, radius arm spacers to move the front diff forward and castor correction bushes then you will fit 35" tyres on no problems. You will soon get sick of 33" tyres. A hilux on 33" will have the same clearance as a safari on 35".
