Re: Club Class Only Competition
We have a few winch challege guys keen too marshall and we know the rules better than the guys that normaly marshall our comps and the man how wrote the rules should be there. So it might pay to read them properly.

Remember those marshalls would be scoring again next time you are competing, so be nice to them/us

PS: some of us can even read the rules and understand them! What a thought

Re: Club Class Only Competition
YEAH RIGHT
Just trying to get anyone that enters to get a good idear of the rules so we dont have to speed half a day explaning to people that couldnt be botherd why they got a penelty.
Monster and I have spent a lot of time descusing with marshels why we are wright and they are wrong, somtimes it works
but not very often
On the day we will probably run through the basics (what we will be picking on) manly saftey 3 meters from rope etc. Any competertors that arnt sure of a rule ask as penaltes realy hurt and the end of the day.

We are trying to make the day for intruducing people to the sport and dont want some one coming along and winning every stag.
In saying that if he is not driving the comp truck it should be ok
For example Justin and Mike in a suzi with high mount wouldnt be fear.

In answer to your co-driver question...
What we want to do is try and create a fairly level playing field for everyone, there are some teams out there that would be hard to beat no-matter what truck they were in, this is why we are splitting them up ie; a current driver and navi team are not allowed to swap seats in a new truck and compete.
So to try and make it fair...
A current Navi may only navi in a NEW truck and driver combination
A current Driver may only NAVI in a NEW truck and driver combination...
A new truck means a truck that has not competed in a winch challenge in the current series.
A new driver means a driver that has not competed in a winch challenge in the current series.
If you need further clarification on this, please ask.
Cheers
Steve

Re: Club Class Only Competition
Hey Steve, to make life easier for marshalls on the day, are you going to allocate competitors numbers or use their handles from here?
With handles it would be easier to put faces to names!

Re: Club Class Only Competition
Was reading through the rules, i see there is a minimum size of rope alowed.
The 50 weighs around the 650kg mark, has a little 2500lb winch on the front with 6mm wire rope. The size of the rope and the winch are all directly in proportion to the size and weight of the vehicle and have proved them selves to be a good combination in the bush.
Will i be allowed to enter with this set up taking into consideration the size and weight of the vehicle??
