Rim Paint - What to use?

Post by Dick »

Just wondering if anyone would know of a good paint to use for painting steel rims?

Cheers,
Dick

powdercoat.

I took mine up to competition coatings in the industrial area, can't remember, but I think I paid about $40 per rim

just make sure the rims are prepared well prior to the powder coatin as i've heard stories/rumours of water gettin under the coatin due to ill prep or the porous nature of the powder coating and creating a layer of rust between the rim and the coating.. this then led to the coatin peelin/chippin off..

if a normal styles paint is used and is scratched off, then a quick application over the scratched/damaged area is too easy and done where and when needed and can be performed by any johnny lunchpail..

whichever way ya go, good luck fella.. :D
