Some sick thinking on IFS
center mounting the diff head and using that extra length in the swing arm and axle .... dosn't increase the cv angle range but it does increase the length of the arm and the distance the wheel has to move.
Means custom axle, made to use your current CV's & tripod joints,custom extended swingarms (possibly steering as well uncertain at this stage) and with the pajero reuse the current torsen bars or insert a coil spring (not certain on surf .... if I can reuse torsen bars :scratch: )
and if you want I can build it with a wider wheel base giving more travel
just mean you'll need spacers for the rear axle
and flairs
Cheers Reece

With the torsion bars you might not have enough travel due to them unwinding before they fully droop on your long travel system... might have to go to a coil-over similar to the new Hilux front end has...
Will it not annoy you having a front end that looks like the back end of a RAV4?
(ie: the perfect shape if all you drive over is big trangular bumps
)

Not to mention there swing arm is to bloody low!! what a waste of clearance

And the coil over is the better option just means a new strut tower might manage to sort something that bolts into whats there hmmm haven't looked much at the spring options it wasn't really a limiting factor

Good work Reece, you sound disapointed with 12 inches of travel, but its 6-7 inches more than the manufacturer gave us, keen to see some pics/ideas for the paj front end.
Cant see a prob with the torsion bars unwinding, as (I guess) the a-arms will be travelling thru the same arc as standard, but the increaded travel comes from them being longer ?
Can always use air shocks to suplement them anyway.
Like the air ram Idea, on the road you could cross couple them (top left to bottom right, top right to bottem left chamber) to act as a sway bar.
