Manifolds

Post by zuky »

Hey all,

Another tech question I'm after some help with.

I've got a 16v multi point injected 'big block' 1600 in my samurai. The motor goes great but the whole front wheel drive engine in a rear wheel truck leads to a few cooling issues. I'm wanting to swap manifold from the cultus map sensor one to a jimny one. I'm just after any assistance for anyone who has attempted this. I know the whereabouts of a M13 Jimny manifold but am doubtful it will line up. I'm assuming that a G13 Jimny one would do the trick but with love some confirmation before parting with the cash.

Note this setup is different to the airflow meter setup of the vitara one.

Cheers for any help

how are ya hugo, what cooling issues do you have , mine used to get hot all the time with both the standard fan and a electric one,i put a 14inch davies fan on which seems to have fixed it.ive got a g16b out of a cultus 4wd with a forward facing intake if you need any bits.

Yeah the issue is not the air intake side of things. This is sweet on the cultus one as it stick forward and fits with no body lift :) just!!

My issue is the water I want the thermostat and out let at the front of the manifold like a stock vitara or samurai one. Despite my gorges plumbing job (cough, cough) I always seem to get airlocks. It doesn't alway surface until the most inopportune times either.

But in saying all that if you have a spare cultus one I could do the cut and shuffle as I know someone with a tig. I'm just a little scared to do it to my current manifold. Does it have the water outlet on the manifold by chance?
