Hi all,

It is very unlikely that I/we will be making this trip now. I'm pissed off but the fuel cost just doesn't justify. The G/F is pissed at me, I'm pissed at me. Sorry to disappoint

Basically, the Hamilton crew is heading down Thursday night, we are going to be amusing our selves on the Whakapapa/Nat Park Village side of the mountain on friday in order to meet up with you guys when you show up later in the day.

The plan is to sit down with everyone on friday evening, and over a beer or two, assess the the weather forcast in relation to our current plans, look at the maps for bad weather plan B and super shiny options, sort out morning meeting times/places for campers and lodgers and then the camping crew will head off over to the other side of the park on friday evening to meet the rest of you the following morning at the previously determined meeting place.

Thats the best plan to date, the weather has the final say as always, and especially so in Autumn at the higher elevations ;)

and a small change to that, due to costs of fuel and budgets etc some of us will be heading down friday morning straight to plan A meeting point. would be nice to have a sit down and chat over at Nat Park but the extra cost to do so is just a bit much at the mo. Hope to catch up with you guys on satday morning depending on what happens...

cheers
