What is the criteria to enter the Mamaku forest Safari??

ie, do you have to be a member of a certain club?, does you vehicle have to meet certain safety standards etc etc

I would be keen to do the Safari if i was eligable.

Who would i contact to find out more??

Cheers,
Pete.

I forgot that the Auckland 4WD Club inc is organising a fun winch challenge (hope thats the right description) on 18, 19 March.

Below is the email I saw about the Mamaku Forest Safari:

Mamaku Forest Safari - Sam Baddeley's Aussie Outback Challenge.

25th / 26th March 2006.

From the organisers of the Rotorua Lakes Safari, the East Cape (Motu) Safari and the Rotorua Winch Challenge, the Geyserland 4WD Club brings you a two day fundraising safari to support Sam Baddeley's Outback Challenge entry into Australia's premier 4x4 winch challenge event.

The safari promises 4wding for all types of 4x4 trucks, through native and exotic forests, with more challenging tracks for capable vehicles. 4x4 winch challenge trucks will be on-hand for recoveries and demonstrations. Camping will be overnight atop the Mamaku Plateau at the Tikitiki campground.

This is a opportunity to support someone who has contributed greatly to the 4wd community. He's the guy who was fixing punctured tyres till midnight on the East Cape Safari, track clearing on the Lakes Safari weeks before the event and who has organised 3 very successful Rotorua Winch Challenges. Now is the time to recognise his efforts while having a unique 4wd weekend at the same time.

For further information, please contact:

John Reid; email john@spida.co.nz
