There's a place in Auckland that will put an overbraid in any colour you want over any rope you want. 10mm was about $1.50 per metre. I'm getting a Dnamica covered but don't think I'll go with a pink/orange/red!

Won't you have a problem with that much rope if you are pulling from one side over a long distance? I know the LC PTO hold alot of rope but that looks like too much!!!
I've just built a wider drum for my winch (and free spool etc) so that it can fit 70m of 12mm but it is rear mounted so not a problem. with 50m of 10mm my new drum is about half full!

Darin, what are the contact details of this outfit in Auckland. This sounds like something I need.

it may look like too much but i can assure you there is plenty of room for bunching.

i went for the DUX as its the best rope out there and manufactured with the overbraid as a tight weave over the core which keeps the rope round and impervious to particulate ingress and UV,also it doesnt go floppy like the other ropes out there. and for the price i can get it for it wasnt a hard descicion to make to pay a little more and get a better product. whats the Dynamica going to cost you per mtr after you have the cover put on it ? im curious

I've seen that fifty drive places no one else made 8) Hope the winch on it is fast and he'll do well.

I'm hoping the wife lets me out for the day... and if she does Don't worry Ben I'll make sure I get vid's of the 50 idling the course and the 40 flying mud and winching trees down on the same section  You are a crowd pleaser - I know

I've just noticed the rope holding bars that you've welded onto the front bar...

Should be fast loading and unloading of that nice new rope.

Man, you really are going hard out

PS. what does that sticker say on your bonnet????

Have you seen the BIG Cookes stickers on my truck!!! Dynamica you could say doesn't cost me much at all so $1.50m is a cheap rope!
I'll chase up the name of the company that overbraids the rope, but I would think any Cookes branch could tell you who it is.

One thing about the rope horns in the above photo. They will work great for non-comp use but when you are in a hurry the eye on the end will realli piss the navi off as it will stop the rope coming off with any tension on it. That is why all comp trucks will have the required loop sticking in and not on the end. You will also see alot that will tamper slightly. It may look like they are bent but that is what works better!
