Yes it is cheaper on here as there are no success fees, I am only selling these on behalf.

Cheaper by nearly $2000 though? You have $2500 firm on here, don't think they will sell for that.......

Its a no reserve auction, the could sell for the opening bid of $520, or am I missing something?

I got some 31 inch kumho ventures 1/4 worn on safari rims for $420 the other year, now want 32" or 33" etc

My humble apologies, I was assuming it may not have been worded properly as it didn't say per tyre.

It was already on my watchlist, which is why I made the original comment
I also hoped I was wrong and it was a low reserve to get interest, but I see its far from that

hey mark, did ya tell ya mate that he really is dreaming with that price.

I know you can't buy 833s anymore, but they are still only 31s and I think you could kit out a new set of tyres and rims for less than your mate is asking.

just a comment

cheers

Thats what he asked me to list them for, never had the honors to own a set of 833s so have no idea of the market, if anyone is interested they can negotiate direct with the owner, he said they are basically new

Well for a few years now the 833 Kumho mud tyre has been off the market and the factory are no longer producing this tyre.

for a number of years I've been trying to get behind the scenes to find out the truth and address the rumours behind this tyre and if they will ever make it again.

the answer is NO.

we had the kumho rep in at work today and as with other reps in the past, I hit him up about it, but today was different, coz my boss was there and it turns out that my boss has been to korea and personally met with the head honcho of Kumho and asked about the making of 833s.

he mentioned he had buyers lining up to buy them and how many would it take to do another run of them, with money being no object.

he was told that they would never make that tyre again, not for anyone, not for any amount of money, even if you ordered a million of them, they will never make them again and contrary to popular belief they will never release the mould either.

so there you have it................

the 833 kumho is gone forever

SKID

Looks like these could be the best money can buy in this size

Cheers

yep your mate will probably be still owning them at that price .if they were 35s they might be worth that but not 31s.no one wants 31 kumhos ,even the zuk guys were running the 33s minimum

Take one old suzuki

Take away roof, and glass

Add roll cage and other safty devises as required

Soften suspension so nearly sits on bumb stops

Add 15 x 8 off set rims (approx $150)

Add top of range 31" tires (in this case $350 each, $500 less rims)

Result = A kick ass "A" Class truck

Add some attitude and youve got a good "A" class national result for approx 4K.
Just carry lots of spare CV's cause these tires will break them.
And lets not forget that the current National champ has got there on warn out 833's. There must be something there.
Keep trying someone will buy them but it might not be until just before start of next season.
