Samurai Radiator Fan

While removing the front grill from my suzuki I found a couple of radiator fan blades. This obviosuly made me then check the fan and I noticed that there are only two blades left.

On discussions with the prevoius owner he had also broken a couple of blades, however had replaced them so obviously the fan must be to close to the radiator which when it encounters water is bending the blades and collecting the radiator.

The question is do we look at changing to an electric fan or just replace what we have now and try to move the radiator a bit further away from the fan?? (current fan is run from the engine).

The easiest option will be to just replace the current fan and then move radiator a bit as installing the electric one looks like it might be a bit more work to shift raditor mounts etc. As I have learnt in the past easiest isn't always the best so looking for your thoughts as to what would be the best option!!!

very easy to install electric fan on zuk, just make sure you get a slim fan , unbolt old fan from motor, take out radiator and attached fan most 12" fans will attach without muich hassle, i got the radiator shop to make a couple of tabs to bolt mine to it, run you cables, if you are able to hook it up to a thermo switch even better, i had mine installed in less than 2 hrs up and running. so dont let the though of a little extra work put you off, i never had a problem with the zuk getting to hot after the new fan went on.

Cheers, which side did you mount the fan on?? (i.e. was it a sucker or a blower???)

its generally better to have them as suckers it go with the general air flow direction, i have seen them mounted both sides though
