monstr wrote:Well We spent the day setting the tracks hope you people like mud and hills? Nothing really nasty every track has at least one winch a couple of them may have two depending on the weather and your right foot.there is at this stage two compulsary winches one of them a short double line pull,we have 8 tracks ready to go and more available depending on how it goes through the day .Roll on the 11th May...Steve
mudhaw wrote:Please take note of equipment needed for a winch challange as this is part of scrutinering .eg d shackels winch dampners and snach block as you will probable need them. If you dont have every thing you need some one will probable lend you one, we wont be to anal at scrutanering apart from saftey items. But on some stages you may need this equipment, you will be told at begging of a stage if you need the fancy stuff and wont be aloud to start if you aint got it (DNF).(No ground anchors needed
)We are beeing nice
. We have tried to keep the stages tough but not too tough eg short winches for the low mount electrics, this dosent mean you guys with PTO's are going to walk away with it. With most winch comps, short winches, its not the speed of the winch its the speed of the set up and pack up that makes the differance

This comp could be a trend setter, a few other clubs will be having a good look at this one and may turn it into a serries.
Fingers and toes crossed
A good steping stone to the real thing (spending lots of money and braking lots of sh**)![]()
Bring lots off spear parts, CVS, alternators, batteries and anyting else that could brake (a spear winch rope would be good)

Rural53 wrote:What is the exact ruling on who is able to compete. There is a lot of rumour flying around about who can and can't compete.
We all accept that no currently competing winch trucks can be used, BUT
Can an existing driver navi for someone else?
Can an existing navi drive?
monstr wrote:In answer to your co-driver question...
What we want to do is try and create a fairly level playing field for everyone, there are some teams out there that would be hard to beat no-matter what truck they were in, this is why we are splitting them up ie; a current driver and navi team are not allowed to swap seats in a new truck and compete.
So to try and make it fair...
A current Navi may only navi in a NEW truck and driver combination
A current Driver may only NAVI in a NEW truck and driver combination...
A new truck means a truck that has not competed in a winch challenge in the current series.
A new driver means a driver that has not competed in a winch challenge in the current series.
If you need further clarification on this, please ask.
Cheers
