After a pair of 33 MTs

Post by fweddy »

Looking for a reasonable pair of 33" 12.5 x 15 MTs

I need to swap my tyres around on rims and while I'm doing it I might as well fit two better front tyres as the two are very warn. So keen on a pair with good tread. Will also check new.

I have a real good spare (Durango) which I could run and just get one new tyre with matching tread wear and use one of the worn ones for a spare - what's the thoughts of running different brand tyres side to side? Don;t think Durangos are available any more. (I'd put them on the rear I think rather than front)
Sold my 1985, BJ74 MWB Landcruiser, rear locker, 33" MTs, snorkel, PTO winch, solid bars all round, spotties, AM CB etc.
Now just a 1994, 1kz Surf, pretty standard.

You just gotta watch for miss matching tyres. Cross ply and radials. Otherwise it should be ok. I think from memory you will fail a warrant with different treads on say the fron only. I am sure that if I am wrong someone will correct me
