Guess where did Toyota "borrow" the designs for their first 4x4s (BJs, etc). Have you actually ever driven a Wrangler?

OK, calm down boys. Both are great 4x4s so lets move on.

Think we should linch 86 Surf for starting this

And standard jeep against standard toyota??
I'd put my money on the Jeep.
<= Seen my Toyota...

Sorry, spelling not so good... Here you go...

"Lynching and US law -

Lynching, an enumerated felony in some states in the United States, is defined by some codes of law as "Any act of violence inflicted by a mob upon the body of another person which results in the death of the person," with a 'mob' being defined as "the assemblage of two or more persons, without color or authority of law, for the premeditated purpose and with the premeditated intent of committing an act of violence upon the person of another." Lynching in the second degree is defined as "Any act of violence inflicted by a mob upon the body of another person and from which death does not result." To sustain a conviction for lynching at least some evidence of premeditation must be produced, however "The common intent to do violence" may be formed before or during the assemblage."

You claim to love Hilux, but don't want to read the history and evolution of Toyota's iconic model (Land Cruiser) and how Hilux came about? That shows me how much you really respect and care for what you drive. No more comments from me. You are not really brand loyal as far as I am concerned. I love Jeeps, but I will never belittle others who have benefited from the copied early designs (except for when I am having fun with someone).

but you also saw how well Dj's surf wen didn't ya:
hang on there Jase ill put my Toyota up against anyone just for the fun factor but I have spent about 6+ years getting it to where it is now and would expect it preform well. Its almost a full on comp winch truck. As said before, most trucks will go better with attitude and experience. Hyperlux and myself were coaching you and others during the weekend as we have over 20 odd years experience between us, and gladly pass on this knowledge. As there was a good cross section of makes it was good to compare capabilities although we did drive up tracks where the jeepers had only driven down ??? Lessons that had been learnt in the class room were put into practise. We both have had or still own Hilux's, jeeps, land cruisers or land rovers. As well as Mits's. I have never owned a Zuk but appreciate their capabilities. ( Horses for courses.) I sling shit at them in jest ( where do you put the clock work key in,,,should come out with carry handles in each corner... how many does it take to assemble a Zuk ..3,, one cutting, one folding, one gluing ) but I will never under estimate them or others .. too many times a statement will come back and bit you in the arse..Having said that don't stop stirring who ever you want  :twisted:just be careful

jase , jase , jase

you are young and not so wise

you may not like me saying that, but its the honest truth

you are stirring lots of chaps that have sooo much more age and wisdom on thier side.

one day they will be on a trip with you and you will break down and need some assistance and they will say no ,coz you are the little pissant that rarked them up on the net.

you could learn alot from some of these guys

and some of these guys could knock you out with thier little finger and some have guns and some are just very mechanically talented and some have lots of parts or access to them.

be very careful who you try to wind up.

you've been told before, but I thought maybe you needed a timely reminder

enjoy the wide world of 4wding and make friends not enemies

cheers dude

yep that's not a problem its a big place as you know. Last time we only saw 1 4wd jeepie person and he was wasn't worth the space he took up, so I'm sure that we can be seen but not heard... ( I have been told that not all Jeepies are the same! TG) 8) there are tracks for miles that we didn't even touch on that are all within DOC's 4wd boundrys. This ain't Auckland, that's why they come down here, and they are more than welcome to share our back yard as their play pen gets smaller every day.
cheers DJ
Its nice to have some one clear the tracks for us
