d) Get roung to fitting my radio

e) Get round to fitting my fire extinguisher

Hey guys,

I haven't even got my landcruiser yet (should have it on Saturday - see new members post: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=11178 ). but Im keen to give this a go and have a couple of questions.

Is 10th May the official date?
Do I just bring $10 on the day?
How far from the meeting point is rallywoods?
My landcruiser doesn't have a snorkel yet, is this a problem?
What kind of area is it, dirt tracks and streams or steep rutted climbs etc?
Are dogs allowed? (my dog loves trips in the car but im guessing there may be 1080 or reserve land?)

Cheers 8)

How far from the meeting point is rallywoods? 20-25 Mins

Bit of everything, training will be on easy stuff and the harder bits will be optional if we get time for a little drive afterwards Are dogs allowed? (my dog loves trips in the car but im guessing there may be 1080 or reserve land?) Will check, there has been 1080 dropped in the area but I'll try and get permission

Don't forget its an optional overnighter as well

Cheers Jerry, would be good to be able to bring the dog, the gf might come too so dog can always be on a leash. Dog won't be a problem but thats up the the event organisers and the land owners so thought it best to ask. Dog can even stay in the cruiser most of the time, she's always been keen to sit in my car when Im working on it for hours on end...she's a bit weird like that! (the dog not the gf)

Bubba: haven't met any members yet so this Taz fella will probably be a bit mystified about this random young guy turning up at his place! :P The cruiser has a 3.8 v6 auto conversion and is rough around the edges but I've never been into bling and shiney stuff lol. When it comes to my cars its always been 'all go and no show' so will more than likely carry on that theme with the cruiser! 8) :D

It don't matter just turn up anyway, when some guy with a ruff Cruiser roles up the drive, jumps out with a slab under his arm, spits on the Nissan's as he walks pass, a new Cruiser gives you a automatic welcome. One day in about six months somebody may ask what your real name is, or not, most of us have lost our real names

Example was when Taz whom I had barely met borrowed a BBQ from Abbo whom I had never met to take to my place for a BBQ, the next time I met Abbo was when he came round to Reece's (Suzki1k????) place to fix my Cruiser. Lots of Man-Love around here and buying a Cruiser gives you a entry ticket.

Opps, Its not Taz's place it's Reeces but preddy much the same thing from what I can gaver, a lot of man-love going on with those two, but they haven't been outted yet

Just a thought....

Can get Stinky to come up and show us the strops, straps, hooks and things that he sells, these are the cookes ones which are one of the better brands, if you haven't got a strop and hooks and stuff maybe call him 384 4141 or PM STINKY (Marty), can get him to do a little talk as well about hooks and mounting them etc.

Can also probably get Rob from Naenae tyres to bring some examples up of the different tyres and show us the different treads and stuff and maybe give a little talk as well....he does good deals to 4wd'ers as well if you need tyres....

Good idea?
