Anyone keen for a trip from Coes ford up to state highway one bridge on sunday morning?

hey there, yeah id be keen for a trip, what time?? any requirements? i have a snorkel, and ive played in the waimak before, and i have some tow ropes....

I would be keen for a look, what time ya talking about and meet where? You shouldn't need a snorkel its more a large stream than a river and standard trucks will be fine but rated tow hooks would be nice

I'm thinking 1000 at coes ford. There can be a few good holes to play in. Got a good spot further upstream if anyones keen once we get to the bridge. Will be on UHF channel 7. Will be in white 70 series cruiser.

its near, selwyn river waikirikiri
on the Lake Road/ Pannetts road
SW of S springston

is that correct?

Yeah mate 10am, and sounds like you got the spot sussed. Just checked the river level on the Environment Canterbury website and the river is up a litte but should be good. hopefully we can find some mud somewhere!

River is 2nd highest it's been in 6 months, could be intersting!!!

im keen to go anyways even if river is abit high, i think we just watch where we cross it if we do, gotta test my snorkel out properly sometime haha

Im still keen, we can make a judgement call when we get there if its too high or not but its still worth a look.
And my snorkel needs a good test too

how did the trip go? and what was the river like... very deep?

i was going 2 come along but need 2 get tow hook on the back..

Yeah was good,had 8 trucks. little bit of water down the bottom but was dry untill about 8kms west of state highway 1 bridge.
