Well today i went and got me some garden edging, A new door locking mec from comercial 4x4 or what ever its called, some bolts and nuts..

the garden edging is 150mm wide and only just covers the rear wheels, Havnt managed to put the front ones on because it got to wet and i couldn't be focked moving the tarp to the front of the truck, So to morrows mission is to do the front flares, I fixed both of my doors so now they BOTH unlock with the key! yay!, But couldn't find a rellay from anywere so the window still doesnot go down on the passengers side..

A wee wile back i found a thread on toyota surf site or somthing like that, About lifting the rear of your bonnet to release hot air or somthing.. so i decided ill give it a go. SO wile at bunning i got some bolts and washes and some 10m nuts to use as washes because i was in a hurry so couldnt count out how many washes to use to lift the rear of the bonnet, Only lifted it about 8 mill more then what it was. Don't know if it actualy works yet tho?..

And that's all for today.

Looking good Jase.
You should be fine for a WOF once you are certed.
I have done my flares almost the exact same way, but out of plastic.

Just a tip jase, take it or leave it but it made my flares look a little less ring a ding. Cut the corners off the flares to round the edges it makes em look a little better and less square

One thing with lifting your bonet like that (I had it in the race car) all the shit oil smoke grease etc ends up on the windscreen and in the wet you need to have something to clean the window before you can drive otherwise you get the window all smeary and blurry and if that happens at wof time then bugger it took a lot of cleaning.

you may want to put a couple more screws in those guards too at the front and back edgeif you charge into mud (or back out) and it comes loose you loose them pretty quick not that they are expencive to replace more annoying to deal with on a trip.
Legal disclaimer: Any information I may have provided is worth exactly what you paid me for it.
