Right its tomorrow so heres some more
I'll start with the gearbox X member.... had a heap of short lengths of 1" pipe left over from another job so decided to use it to make a transfer case mounted frame

left Steve the job of cutting it all and I just poo'd it together
the mounts down to the X-member are hilux leaf spring bushes and shortened pins and they are spaced that width to match the engine mounts

with them at the same width they both work together eqaully neither taking more load and flogging out... well thats the idea
The X member is also made to be removed to make pulling the gearbox a bit easier bent it for the best clearance too
giving a nice clean underside
Oh and remember how far we pushed the front axle forward

this is what had to give

Don't look to close some of those welds are a bit ruggard, the gas axe isn't a subtle toy and I had to "bridge" a couple of welds
Tried to get my local certifier to aprove Nib's tick with the steering shaft (an angle cut and weld and then weld a tube over the top) Na

not allowed how'ed I know that wasn't even close to allowing it so I had to cut a 2WD truck one back and F around for 4hs on the lathe to put a new spline in

oh and to cap off the steering shortened up a spare tie-rod and made a end to fit the surf pitman jiont
I think thats enough typing for now more to follow soon
Cheers Reece
