2 many choices

Time to buy some new tires for my c class zuk, and have been trying to make my mind up for like a month now, doing heaps of research on the net etc, but still haven,t made my mind up.............

Running kumho,s at moment 33,s and can,t go any bigger (chain driven transfer), and they have lost their edge, so are going on my safari
Have narrowed it to Mudzillia,s and imported Mud kings, both around the $300 mark.
seems most of the top guy run less agressive tyres like general grabbers,mud kings etc,

winch guys though without exception run simmex,s . swampers etc

in my long drafted way, i guess i,m asking, is there any reason? not to run the most agressive tyres , (within the rules)
which as i would see as mudzilli,s, why then isn,t everybody using them?

for trials mate the 833 khumo or the general grabber MT(when new) cant be beaten. they have a "bite" on the lugs which (when new) they actually take a bite every time a lug comes in contact with the dirt :twisted:

Problem with 833's are they are really hard to find. I heard they stopped making them. Please tell me that was just a lie...

They stopped making 833's years ago. The people you see running around with brand new ones usually have a stockpile of them somewhere, although itd be getting a little low now

both of which are no longer made so you have to do mud kings or mudzillas

you want to stick with either of these for trialing as they bag really well and you don't need the strong sidewalled simex etc for trialing.

and the pros and cons ofr mudking vz mudzilli,s?
mudzilli,s seem to look like a better wet weather tyre, (which is every sunday)

and I guess the mudzilli is like a inch wider right from the get go, so has a advantage right away.
yank forums seem to rubbish mud kings a bit

that pic you have of the mud kings looks different to the one that the trials guys have, they have one that seems more open in the middle

yeah i think just a rat shet pic, pretty sure only 1 type of mud king, pics on trade me look better.
