Where abouts are you? I have a 413 radiator set up with electric fan temp switch relay etc. Think the wire for the 3 way in cab switch is missing. (was set up auto, on and off). Its not going to be big enough for the transplant.

if you are going to get it fixed i would sugest getting it re cored with a core that has more fins in, i did this and keeps the truck much cooler as there is more water in the radiator.

i scored a rad from an old datsun.....its thicker but other wise about the same size, and then adapted
an electric fan from a honda to fit it......then had to cut front panel for it to fit lol....
hope it works as i havent ran my new motor yet :?

Ask to keep the old copper they take out to. Worth a bit these days.

Try fitting a vitara one. They use the same mount on the drivers side, and the vitara one on the passenger. And the hose fittings end up in the same place on the same side :)

You can use the factory shrowd of the 413 which just leaves the extra few inchs exposed. There may have been some gentle hammer action required on the vitara side mount.

What vitara radiator did you use . They are not all the same . A 3dr one is different to a 5dr one , I think . I know we had to make new mounts to fit a 3dr radiator into the old mans 5dr 16v radiator . Not sure if the 3dr was a 16v or not so that may have been the difference instead of teh 3dr 5dr thing .

Go to a wreckers and look around, i have absolutely no idea how big a 413 rad is, but a small diesel van core might do the trick.
Ive seen a 2C powered Liteace core, tiny, but 4 core and quite big openings, could give good flow.

I wouldnt pay that sort of coin, there is always a better (cheaper, more available) option.

i would go for the re core, at least you can be sure it will work as new,a s/h radiator
will require a flush, or worst removal of the top tank to clean approx $65
A recore is cheaper and less hassle that a motor rebuild, suzuki 1600
don`t like getting to hot,
ps will contact you this week with fan

A re-core is basically a new radiator....they put a new core in it & just re-use the top & bottom tank.
