The units are quite durable and suit normal and recreational use. I cannot guarantee the unit for competition use or to vehicles fitted with oversize tyres. That makes me suspicious, so whats normal use for a airlocker?? Supermarket carpark use only

Thats a photo of somebody working Skid, in a place called Rallywoods, but thats outside of your plastic bubble that you now live in. I think that was the weekend you and Jerry were playing Dungeons and Dragons or were you both at the Star Wars/ Trek Convention

How much is a Brian Howett Locker worth??

I would like to see them tested first, it would depend on the strenght of the spider gears and how much pressure it took to hold the locker on.

I wonder if there is a warranty and what it covers, are parts available, is anyone running them. Time to ask a few more questions

the guy selling them is actually a long time 4wder from hamilton who runs http://www.4wdfiberglass.com and has many years experience 4wding

although that doesn't necessarily mean they will be good lockers, but I don't think he would sell shite products.

Skid, thats a handy wbsite, I had the sound turned right up on the laptop, crapped myself

One question,

[quote]Toyota Landcruiser 74 Series

The blue Toyota 74 Series Landcruiser belongs to Sam Baddely from Rotorua. It to is very well equipped for Winch Challenge competition use. Panels fitted include front fenders, upper fender side panels, bonnet and windshield frame
./quote]

Whats a 74?? looks like a cut up 70 to me

That other 75 looks like Sadams (if you squint you and look out the corner of your eyes)

I did notice that he uses ARB in his own truck though

Have you looked at a LSD in the front of your GQ? , all you need to find is a LSD rear from a Terrano and this basically bolts in the front, most of the terrano's had LSD rears.... or what about a factory GQ electric? locker these come up occasionally from time to time on TM.

What about the TJM ones?

Its been interesting reading this post, the main thing that seems to be upsetting everyone are the comments about the warranty-The disclaimer that Steve has made is NO different to what you would find in the back of a ARB or TJM owners manual, But what do you expect? There has to be some limit to 4wd fibreglasses warranty liability?
As we have both used 4wd vechicles in both recreation and competion uses, we do understand what these units will have to endure and as such or warranty will cover the unit against manufacturing defects-REGARDLESS OF TYRE SIZE OR HORSEPOWER.

BUT.....

WE WILL NOT COVER MUPPETS THAT THINK THEY CAN DO BURNOUTS ON TARSEAL WITH THE LOCKERS ENGAGED.....

As you can see it is very difficult to police warrant claims, but we would treat each case individually.

Any further Questions should be addressed to Steve @ 4wdfibreglass 0274881101 or 078467815

Yes it is Steve selling them on Trademe, At the moment we are waiting for the 4 spider cruiser ones to turn up,they should have turned up by now but have been held up in china somewhere.Steve will have a set of these going ino his own truck so the other 8 in the shipment will be up for grabs-

Our shipment of nissan safari rear lockers turned up last week and should be ready for sale in the next couple of days-
