A few plans for this years event.

We hoped to use the Village Green but that may be a little harder than first thought.

Mamaku is also being looked at again. The forest has been partially harvested so new area's need to be found.
Highlands block would also be a good starting day if access is available and we may use Pete Flemings block for a night stage or two.

The Geyserland Club runs this event every year and we don't usually go looking for volunteers. The best way to view this event is to be the support crew for a racing team. Fix CV's while the driver warms up. That sort of thing.

Cheers

Just a reminder. This event is held in a working forest.

It is pretty much run behind locked gates. If you are attending as support crew, there will most likely be vehicle limitations on numbers and we have to sign in all vehicles and drivers.

You wont be able to just turn up and drive in.

Make sure you are organised before the event.

I thought you may have wanted to know what happened to Gene.

Winch motor gave him trouble earlier in the day so I headed around the other side and recovered him with the trusty PTO.
Its bloody swampy out there. i had to be recovered while trying to come in from the other end.

Another link for recovery : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpsObNVA8Uo

Make sure your ground anchors are in good shape. I'll be setup somewhere around that pond as a winch point.
