*edit*
first off welcome to the ORE forum, and welcome to the ORE Daihatsu world, we dont bite ... but watch out for 2roky... he knows waaaaayyyyyyy to much about Daihatsu's to be heathly

and where do you hail from??

I tried to find a set for mine a couple of months ago ... the exhaust place I went to spent 2 weeks searching for me only to come back with 1 (one) set in New Zealand @ $450+fitting .. decided it wasnt worth that for the extra power it would give me .. the only other option was to import a set from OZ but it was still around the same amount.

if it's more power your after you would be better off removing the cat and standard muffler, replace the front cat with a small resonator and the rear muffler with a coby.. I gained about 20% more power doing that (and gained lots better fuel ecconomy) and everyone keeps looking for the lowered boyracer car as i drive past  cost was $180 for that. as for the Daihatsu habit of cracking the exhaust manifold get them to throw in a flexi joint at the bottom and that will stop that problem developing.

or failing that how handy are you on a Mig?

cheers Meece

Hi Meece,

I hail from West Auckland, have had a couple of landcruisers in the past and am now turning a rocky into my weekend toy.

Thanks for your reply, I to have looked at all the local suppliers, the best I can do is $450.00 + GST and freight in NZ.

I also found a aussie supplier that sell them for $315.00 AUD but have to get them home somehow.

The reason that I am after a set of extractors is due to the manifold has already got about 8 big cracks init.

I am very handy with a mig being an engineer by trade but lack the spare time with my job and was hoping to just be able to buy a set instead of making a set.

Thanks again for the responce and I will post a photo of my Rocky soon to show how I am going with the build.

Cheers Twopie

Hi, Thanks for that, I rang Als a few months ago and was told that they did not stock them any more and that they could get a set from Auzzie for about $600.00, when did you get your set from Als? I am still after a set as my manafold is stuffed, Cheers.

Well thats strange.I guess I've had them on now for about 2 months.I suggest you give them another buzz and see
if they have more.I know I had grief trying to find a set of extractors, and after about 30 phone calls,I nearly gave up.
Like I said earlier,400 to my back door.Try PITSTOP ( I think)in CHCH.I spoke to a lady who sounded like the extractor
queen and gave me a quote I think for around 500 +freight. She told me they came from up north.Maybe ALS who knows!!!
But anyway,best of luck

Hi, I gave Als a call today, they can do a set for $458.38, I was more hoping for the $335.00 as per there web page, do you remember which pit stop you called for the price? Cheers.

Man,you got me scratching me head.Try the Hornby branch 03 344 2909.I could be wrong though.I've turfed out the
piece of paper I had with all the numbers and info I had gathered for obvious reasons.Probably should have kept
it for moments like these. Why have you been quoted 458 as opposed to 335?Are you auto or manual?Does that
effect the price?Anyway 458 is probably about as good as you'll get,and at least you have found someone out there
doing the extractors.cheers

the resonator is a locally made coby clone and the rear "muffler" is a real coby. noisey as hell but a big improvement in power and ecconomy

Hi, yes they bolt stright on to original exhaust, you remove the manafold and pipe down to the catalitic converter and it fits stright in, if you give me your email I will send you some photos of them, Cheers.
