I haven't done it before, but they are advertising it as catering for all types of 4x4's, harder tracks for those that want a challenge and so on.

I imagine they will split us into groups and you will go with vehicles of a similar ability.

They have the winch challenge trucks on stand by for recoveries, so there must be some interesting bits at least.

But like i say, i haven't done it before, so we'll see.

Could be just one of those ones were there are heaps of vehicles and you end up waiting round all day for the ones on road tyres just to get out of the car park

And then there's the idiots...........

the safari will cater for all.

We are also using some of the area that the kiwi challenge was run so we shoud be able to drop you into all sorts of stuff.

Although we can't risk sending the whole lot down the creek climb cause we'd never get them out. If you've got a winch, thats all good. if you haven't got a winch and you wanna go tough you better have some good mates around you.

Snorkels aren't really needed in the vegas area. We don't have major rivers, just deep mud. Should be fine without.

Cheers

Jungle,
where exactly is this? any idea on how long the final day is likely to be? Just need to know if it is worth changing my ferry bookings so I can do this (supposed to sail back on Sunday morning)

Cheers,
Dave

Hmm I think I might try and make the trip up form welly to it. Would be good to catch up with a few people.

When is the close out date for this and what numbers are you expecting jungle? I wouldnt want to sit in queues for hours waiting to do obstacles as such.

Ok. Lets try and answer some of the questions. The main area's are going to be the old landrover experience block in the back of paradise valley, linking up with mamaku 4WD block that we use for other safari's and winch challenge.

I'm sure its more than a half day on the sunday, but the weather is always chief around mamaku and you never know whats going to happen. Just found out the finish time which is 3-4pm.

Max numbers were 150. But as i said earlier the groups will be split so your not sitting behind mum in her terracan with the kids.

The other good thing is we have got simon and miranda form aussie 4WDTV to cover the event for the TV programme.

Final applicationh date is 3rd of march.

And the best part is Mitch's email address. He is our main controller for this one.
If your after an application form. email this guy Mitchell.OBrien@opus.co.nz
