It doesn't look as though the clay bird shooting will go ahead because there was very limited response to that so you can all get stuffed! I was looking forward to that too
The amount of rum & coke I saw you drinking over the weekend, you probably wouldn't have been able to hit a cow in the arse with a frying pan, let alone small fast moving objects fired out of a cannon!! :D :D :D :D 8) 8) 8) 8)

I'm very disappointed that you would suggest that I would drink and shoot at the same time. I am much more responsible than that. Consider yourself fined...

... I'll be collecting said fine on Saturday night after the driving is over!

But seriously, the shooting was going to be organised by someone that has military experience in organising shoots. It was going to be all about safety first, but it appears that people are not too keen on bang sticks in this case so we'll flag it.

Seeing as we are getting close to the even, is it to much to ask that we keep the thread relevant to QBW??

I like a good bullshirt as much as the next person but trying keep it on target till the event thanks

Good call BUBBA, PLEASE USE THE OTHER WIND UP THREAD FOR BULLSHIRT where it is encouraged

Mark wrote:We've got 22 vehicles registered... plus Mike,

There is still one other that I know of (other than Mike) to register.

Based on that, we could have anywhere up to 40-50 individuals up there for the weekend which will be cool.

There might be another 2 vehicles which I know off which "may" turn up. One is almost certain, Pookie, my mate in another Discovery to keep mine company (while I am fixing my steering linkages  ).
He has a mate in a Suzuki which is all set-up for decent off-road action who is talking about wanting to come along. Whether he will or not is a different story. If they do turn up it will be for Saturday daytime only.
Trying to convince them to stay at least the Saturday night as the social aspect of this weekend is at least as much fun as the four wheel driving itself.

Count me in for the Sunday in the aka's but as I have just finished cleaning my new rims, applied tyre shine to my 33's, cut and polished the mint paint work and rewound the winch so the cable looks right purdy, would be keen on a shiney trip that avoids the dirt and mud.

if not, will be keen on the medium with optional hard bits

ummmmmm cant help but notice most of registered people coming are our standard welly crew..... and that new fella mark with the headrest eating terrier.
now if you unregistered members that want to come but have problems with accommodation or children need watching while 4wheeling etc please pm mark,jerry,bubba,suzuk1k or me ,we can more than likely help out, i can arrange babysitters for kiddies and theres lots of activities close by for mum and kids. the green hut accommodation is reserved for young uns and their parents and there will be gas heating inside. not sure if i missed anything but others helping out can add to this....

my first thought was....... no Jerry, there will be no lollies left, coz you eat them all, then my second thought was............., what kind of surgery do you need lollies for, and then I realised that maybe you meant, sugary lollies.

on another note............

If I was to come in for an evening/night to partake in the consumption of alcoholic beverages, would there be a charge involved and would it be OK to just turn up, or would someone like advance warning of my impending arrival.

where exactly were you planning on going on the sunday

what tracks, or were you just heading to the slippery forest for the day.

I only ask, coz i may come for a cruise, but am not keen on putting 80 thru any tracks, would rather just cruise the main tracks and watch other cowboys(taz) thrash their trucks

cheers

Slideways wrote:I can't confirm - Cruiser overheated on Saturday night. Haven't had time to figure out what caused it yet. Planned to use it to tow my club car to Manfeild for Sunday...so I was there (track) all day and now at work so have had no time to check over the cruiser. Damn work! Gets in the way of everything!

Fingers crossed its not the headgasket :x

Did a compression test last night and looks good, while doing this I found a stuffed hose clip. Hoping this is the cause of overheating/mass water loss. If this is the case I'd like to be pencilled in for Sunday if possible.

If you are coming then please register for each and every truck that is going to be there. During registration select the days that you will be attending, and the fee level to match the number of days you selected.

Just to clarify , any current NZFWDA members who are not part of the ORE ASSN do NOT have to pay the Visitor fee as they have existing NZFWDA insurance cover, you may be asked to produce your membership cards so don't forget them.

JUST NOTICED THIS ON THE BOOKING FORM
You must pre-register to attend this trip. Any bookings later than 20/05/2008 will incur a $10 late registration fee

Are they your passengers or are they using it all weekend?, technically its on the Driver, ie everyone is supposed to have a drivers licence and be a NZFWDA member or get covered by payment of a visitor fee. rallywoods should be ok.for the Aka's trip this will be a strict requirement as this affects our ORE Assn/NZFWDA insurance cover and I will be checking this when checking everyones trucks just before the drivers briefing.
