New Disco Driver In Christchurch

Post by Discodriver »

Hi all,
Just bought a 99 Discovery Series 1 4L V8,
I must say so far it is certainly a step up from my 85 Mitsi Pajero 2.8 TD!
So far the truck is standard, and I guess I want to get as much bang for my buck as possible,
I Paid $4800 for the Disco, and have another 2k to spend. I am guessing a 2 inch lift would be the next port of call?
I have a (near) new set of 32x11.5 R15's so steel rims need to be added to the list!
I would really appreciate any advice on where to go for suspension on my limited budget, I have heard mixed stories about many different 4WD specialists in CHCH.
Also, what do I need to look out for on my truck? any help would be awesome!
Cheers,
Chris.

I will be using this as my daily driver as well, so I am thinking a 2" suspension lift to start with, and probably a 2" body lift further down the track. I don't go anywhere too serious, but I try to get offroad as much as I can, and after being continually towed out when I had my standard old Paj, I am looking for something that will be a match for my friends 98 VX 'Cruiser.
