Hi all
We have an LJ80 with an aluminium made by Delmac Engineering of Dargerville.
We got it by chance and would really like to modify it into a decent club vechile but don't know alot about suks and have never done a 4WD project before so was just wondering if anyone had any ideas about where to start. That would really be apreciated
What to do with LJ80?

Give it to me
But seriously...... Do you belong to a club?? Where abouts are you based, and how big is your budget??
Usual order I prefer is
1. Protection - at the minimum a rear roll hoop, at best a full 6 point cage
2. Grip - Mud Tyres. No point having heaps of power if you cant get it to the ground
3. Recovery points - good welds for a bracket - hi tensile bolts to attach hook to brackets
4. Apart from recovery gear and first aid kit/extinguisher, this is where you come down to budget. Do you repower, upgrade running gear etc etc.??
A good site to check on everything Suzuki and how-to-do things try outerlimits4x4.com. They have sections on different brands of vehicles and at teh start of each group is a section called "The Bible" this holds just about all you need to know in modifying your vehicle. While a lot of it relates more to SJ models and samurai's there is a heap of info that you can relate to your LJ.
Hope this helps a litttle

DO hang around here though as there is a lot of good tech available from some very experienced guys
cheers

I'm in south auckland, don't belong to a club yet and have a small budget, but we want to do things right and as it is running sweet at the moment we can take our time. I will start posting some photos as soon as we start geting into it. but if you guy have any suggestions for donor parts and or roll cage design we would be very gratrful
