Howzit to all!!

Post by waugu »

Howsit to all, My name is Ben and I guess I've been doing this 4x4 thing for about 7yrs casually now and recently decided to take it to the next level, Yes I've caught the bug!!Ok so I started with a 7seater pajero about 7yrs ago, I had BFG tyres and rims but thats as far as that truck went due to it breaking everytime I went out!! so I gave it the boot!! Next was a 94' cherokee which was an awsome truck in the mud, I had firestone 23degree tyres and rims but on the second outing I smashed the drivers door in and decided it was too good to wreck it ne more, so I traded that in on a 95' l200, gave that a 2inch lift and buckshot tyres but the torsion bars just didnt do it for me which brings me to my current project... The Barry Crump wagon, 1986 Hilux!! So far I've fitted speedy wheels, tubes n Dunlop Gtrek MT 1's which are so far proving well worth the money spent, And now im in the middle of the big suspension upgrade, Maxitrak springs and Bigbore longtravel shocks, The springs fit fine but the shocks are still on a courier somware, hopefully not to far away as im iching to get out again,
Thats ware im at in the 4x4 side of things.
As for me, I was born in Gisborne and have been here my whole life (I enjoy the quiet life a lot) I have a Son and Daughter and a supportive partner as well which helps!! I'm a former Mechanic now working for Beaurepairs as a fleet serviceman, I've been in tyres for a few years now and enjoy it a lot.
Im looking forward to hearing some good advice and hopefully giving some of my own, also Meeting some people with the same interests, so I look forward to hearing from everyone..

I've only been on this site for a month or so. I haven't figured out how to post photos yet. I know you have to host your photos on another site first. But ??? There seems to be a few funny guys on here and a few serious ones too. Kind of one of those addictive sites that you keep coming back to for a laugh or information to help when needed.
